Contact UsWhat Is A Thread Lift?
At Junée F. Gardy DDS, PA, we use one of two types of thread lifts, depending on your needs and concerns: Silhouette InstaLift® and polydioxanone (PDO) threads. Both types of thread lifts use absorbable sutures to grab and hold facial tissue in an elevated position. This method effectively tightens and lifts the skin on the face and neck. At the same time, the thread lift procedure stimulates the body's natural collagen production to add fullness to your face, restoring any volume that has been lost. Both thread lifts have been used safely for many years internationally. For more information, call our office in Naples, FL to schedule a consultation with Dr. Junée F. Gardy.
What to Expect from A Thread Lift
Prior to your thread lift treatment, we will consult with you to determine what type of thread lift to use, how many to inject, and where to place the threads for best results. Thread lifts are injected into the skin and require no cuts or incisions. On the day of your treatment, we will inject the treatment area with a local anesthetic to ensure you remain as comfortable as possible. The entire procedure takes about 30 – 40 minutes, depending on the number of threads used. Individuals typically only need one session to see visible results, but we recommend follow-up sessions after 2 – 3 years to maintain your refreshed appearance.

About UsThread Lift FAQs
What is the cost of a PDO thread lift?
The exact price of a thread lift can vary based on the number of threads needed, which will be determined according to your aesthetic goals. Keep in mind that thread lifts are generally much more affordable than comparable surgeries, which is why they're often used as a minimally invasive facelift alternative. Our staff at Junée F. Gardy DDS, PA can give you more details, including your expected cost, during your initial visit.
How long can I expect my PDO thread lift results to last?
The answer to this will depend on your skin's overall condition. Usually, the results of thread lifting may be visible for up to a year and a half or more. Following this period, you might wish to get a follow-up treatment so you can maintain your smoother, youthful look. To extend your results for as long as possible, we recommend establishing a healthy routine that includes a balanced diet, consistent exercise, minimal sun exposure (with SPF protection), and a home-based skin regimen.
Does a PDO thread lift hurt?
Most clients don't experience any major discomfort when they have a thread lift. Before starting, we can apply a topical numbing agent to the treatment area to help reduce any sensation you might experience. Some individuals might have minor aching or inflammation after the procedure, although this usually clears up within a few days.
